Glossary
A primitive cluster index for Prompted LLC's vocabulary. Each term resolves to a defined-term page that includes the plain definition, what the term is not, an example, where it appears in Ubiquity, and related transitions.
Defined terms
- Earned autonomy
AI systems gain freedom only where evidence supports it. The trust boundary moves outcome by outcome.
- Governed AI autonomy
The operational alternative to permanent approval loops.
- Governance substrate
Infrastructure that governs AI behavior outside the model's own self-reporting or prompt compliance.
- Governed memory
Promotion of reviewed lessons into durable guidance through scoped gates.
- Trust telemetry
Evidence about what an AI system has earned. Movement of the trust boundary, not output appearance.
- AI harness
The orchestrated rig around a model where governance actually lives.
- Human judgment compounding
Treating each judgment as evidence that updates the trust boundary, so judgment becomes durable structure.
- Cognitive pull request
A reviewable proposal to change the operating assumptions of an AI-assisted development system.
- Cross-session lesson compounding
Carrying reviewed lessons from one AI session into the next.
- Context governance
Treating long-running AI work as a governance lifecycle, not a context-size problem.
- Token bloat
Accumulation of more text than the system can use coherently.
- Promotion gate
The scoped decision that lets a reviewed lesson become durable guidance.
- Signal → Warrant → Rule
The Ubiquity primitive lifecycle for provisional knowledge becoming durable.
- Constitutional source of truth
The promoted guidance the substrate treats as authoritative — distinct from rendered chat context.
