    Glossary

A primitive cluster index for Prompted LLC's vocabulary. Each term resolves to a defined-term page that includes the plain definition, what the term is not, an example, where it appears in Ubiquity, and related transitions.

    Defined terms

    • Earned autonomy

AI systems gain freedom only where evidence supports it. The trust boundary moves outcome by outcome.

    • Governed AI autonomy

The operational alternative to permanent approval loops.

    • Governance substrate

Infrastructure that governs AI behavior outside the model's own self-reporting or prompt compliance.

    • Governed memory

Promotion of reviewed lessons into durable guidance through scoped gates.

    • Trust telemetry

Evidence about what an AI system has earned. Movement of the trust boundary, not output appearance.

    • AI harness

The orchestrated rig around a model where governance actually lives.

    • Human judgment compounding

Treating each judgment as evidence that updates the trust boundary, so judgment becomes durable structure.

    • Cognitive pull request

A reviewable proposal to change the operating assumptions of an AI-assisted development system.

    • Cross-session lesson compounding

Carrying reviewed lessons from one AI session into the next.

    • Context governance

Treating long-running AI work as a governance lifecycle, not a context-size problem.

    • Token bloat

Accumulation of more text than the system can use coherently.

    • Promotion gate

The scoped decision that lets a reviewed lesson become durable guidance.

    • Signal → Warrant → Rule

The Ubiquity primitive lifecycle for provisional knowledge becoming durable.

    • Constitutional source of truth

The promoted guidance the substrate treats as authoritative — distinct from rendered chat context.
